Das FAU-Scholarship-Programm „President’s Welcome Award” geht dieses Jahr in die dritte Runde. Gefördert werden damit sechs junge Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler, die das Masterprogramm Human Rights aufgenommen haben bzw. als Doktoranden der Menschenrechte an der FAU arbeiten. In den nächsten 12 Monaten wirken diese sechs jungen Menschen als FAU-Botschafterinnen und -Botschafter und berichten auf unterschiedlichen Wegen, z.B. über soziale Kanäle, über ihre Erlebnisse in Erlangen und an der FAU.

Sharmin Shamim Anchool

Sharmin Shamim Anchool accomplished her Master of Laws (LLM) and Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degrees from the Northern University of Bangladesh. She has gathered several years of professional experience providing consultancy services for disadvantaged and marginalized communities, and investigating allegations of harassment, abuse, and discrimination. At FAU, she has enrolled into the degree program M.A. Human Rights, and in addition has received a spot in the university’s President’s Welcome Award scholarship program. |
Shuvra Dey

Shuvra Dey accomplished his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Stamford University Bangladesh, his Master of Laws (LL.M.) from South Asian University in New Delhi, as well as his Master of Arts Human Rights at FAU. He is currently working at FAU as a doctoral researcher in the International Doctorate Programme on Business and Human Rights. In parallel, he has also been partly working as a co-coordinator of the same program, as well as a research associate at the Chair in Public Law and Public International Law at FAU. Shuvra has successfully secured a spot in the President’s Welcome Award scholarship program here at FAU. |
Alejandro Gomez Lopez

Alejandro Gomez Lopez graduated from La Salle Saltillo University with a Bachelor’s degree in Law and from the Academia Interamericana de Derechos Humanos with a Master’s degree in Human Rights. He has worked as research assistant, project assistant, and human rights rapporteur, and has now started his studies at FAU in the Master’s degree program in Human Rights. In addition, Alejandro is part of the President’s Welcome Award scholarship program at FAU. |
Mia Turbić

Mia Turbić finalized her Bachelor of Laws degree at the University of Tuzla, and is now continuing her path of education as a student of the Human Rights Master’s program at FAU. Participating in international and national projects of the Youth Initiative for Human Rights has helped her gain a deeper understanding of human rights challenges around the world. Mia successfully secured a spot in the President’s Welcome Award scholarship program here at FAU. |
Daniela Vallejo

Daniela Viviana Vallejo Aguirre has received a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University San Francisco de Quito as well as a Master’s degree in Development Studies from the University of Melbourne. Some of the roles she has taken on in the past years include information management officer, project coordinator and eligibility assistant for different areas within the United Nations. At FAU, she has begun her Master studies in Human Rights. She is also part of the President’s Welcome Award scholarship program. |
Eklavya Vasudev

Eklavya Vasudev has two Bachelor’s degrees, one in Political Science, and another in Law, both from Delhi University. In addition, he graduated from Georgetown University with a Master’s degree in International Legal Studies. His professional experience includes roles as research associate, law clerk, and legal consultant. Currently, he is a doctoral candidate within the International Doctorate Programme on Business and Human Rights at FAU. He has received a spot in the university’s President’s Welcome Award scholarship program. |
